1930's Mahogany Folding Coaching-Style Table
Product details
Seller's Notes:This mahogany folding table from the 1930's is in the coaching style tables of the 19th century. The rectangular top has rounded corners. The delicate pivoted X-shaped legs are joined by a turned stretcher rail. The top is bisected and folds into itself when the locking mechanism is released. The locking mechanism is stamped with Patent 1919613 which was granted to Ferguson Brothers Manufacturing Company in Hoboken, N.J. in 1933. It is in good original condition except for a darkish water stain on the top and shows little signs of wear. This more Edwardian design was generally intended for domestic use due to its portability. Folds to a width of only 6", making it a perfect extra serving table that can be easily stored away.
