1980's Handmade Paper Artwork
Product details
Seller's Notes:Vintage 1988 handmade paper artwork by Beverly Plummer, one of the pioneers in the uses of paper as an art form and currently a modern papermaker and book artist in Nashville, TN. Using either cotton, abaca, linen or vegetable fibers, or a combination, she took the partially processed fibers and colored them with light-fast pigments or fiber-reactive dyes. The freshly made pulp was then formed into images by hand-dipping, lamination, casting or some other form of manipulation. This piece has green and lavender between off-white with very thin bamboo strips traversing the piece vertically and horizontally. Mounting mat is a taupe-y neutral and the bevel-edged framing mat is an off white that accents the handmade paper. Image size is approximately 10" wide x 13" high; brushed silver frame size is approximately 16" wide x 20" high. Very good condition.
