Seller's Notes:For sale are two Moller Model 57 Armchairs by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in walnut with woven cord seat as a set. BRAND NEW. The chairs were purchased last fall and have been in storage ever since. We would have returned them to DWR, but missed the chairs' 30-day return window. The purchase price was $4,561.86 (2,095 x 2 + 8.875% NYC sales tax). Licensed retailer (Design Within Reach) description: Møller furniture is made by a company founded in 1944 by Niels Otto Møller, a craftsman who “never compromised on anything,” says his son. Even today the company uses old craft traditions like handwoven seats, which on the Model 57 Armchair (1959) are made from a single 425-feet-long cord. The company hand-selects raw wood from environmentally friendly sources, and the final polish is done by hand. This is an authentic, fully licensed product of J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik.
