Seller's Notes:Beautiful and functional antique walnut clothing armoire. In very good condition, this armoire was professionally refurbished around the turn of this century by the now defunct Antique Imports of Frederick, MD. It worked wonderfully for our old historic house that had limited closet space. Now, however, in our current more modern house with ample closet space, it just isn't needed anymore. The mirrored door is flanked on either side by panels with a hand carved art nouveau tulip design. The door latch opens by rotating the hanging toggle. Inside there is a brass rod that spans the width of the wardrobe for hanging items. There are also several hooks built into the inside which can also be used for storing different types of items like ties and belts. The bottom drawer space pulls out and can be used to store larger items (we used it to store blankets). The armoire can be broken down into pieces for easier transport: a top portion rests upon a base with a single, functional drawer. The entirety of the wardrobe is topped with a crown. Please note that although the items is 19.5 deep in the storage area, the top crown sticks out an additional 2 inches or so in case that factors into your space needs.
