Seller's Notes:Bought this table about 4-5 years ago when we lived in NYC, right around the middle of COVID. We had originally ordered a similarly-styled West Elm table, but the production delays due to the pandemic left us waiting indefinitely for that table. We canceled that order and bought this one instead. We bought the matching benches, and with two chairs at either end, this table can comfortably host 6-8 people. This table has borne witness to countless dinner gatherings—both intimate and large. When we had our daughter, it was at this table that she first tried her first bite of real food. It has seen the messiest of meals, been splattered with an array of purées and spilled milk (all thanks to a stubborn infant), but it has also hosted the fancy home-cooked meals and the just-as-meaningful Doordash meals with loved ones, family, and friends. This table has seen it all. It has sheltered our second dog when she was just a puppy and loved curling up underneath it, and has acted as a make-shift cave for our crawling and now running child. This table moved across the country with us and was very well taken care of by our movers. All this to say, this table has been there through it all—from the depths of the pandemic in NYC to now sunny Redwood City. I hope this table can find its next home and become an integral part of another family’s experiences ‘around the dinner table’, because isn’t that where a lot of life’s moments happen?
