Seller's Notes:This table has served us very well over the last few years but is unfortunately now too small for our growing family. It comfortably seats four, and on occasion we've also had six (although the bars at the bottom mean the chairs at the ends cannot scoot under the table). It is genuine marble, with beautiful greyish tones. This also means that, although C&B description said it was sealed, it does absorb liquids, which stains the surface. The stains are more vs less visible depending on the angle and amount of light hitting the table. Please see two example pictures of such water stains, which appear as dull spots; there are several such spots throughout the surface. Whoever purchases the table should be comfortable that more such stains will likely happen -- while we were very careful in using coasters/place mats and in trying to wipe spills immediately, and more recently have had a clear cover on the table, the stains seem unavoidable!
