Seller's Notes:These are the world’s most comfortable dining chairs. Seriously – four hour dinner parties fly by in total comfort in the blink of an eye! We had these dining chairs custom made 18 years ago for our Stephen Whisler-made dining table (listed separately) totally optimizing for comfort after testing dozens of uncomfortable possibilities. The set has been the heart center of our Tribeca loft for the last 18 years of gatherings with friends, family and colleagues. The legs are dark stained wood and I believe the red patterned fabric is from Dolma (but not 100% certain). If you treasure hosting dinner parties and extended family dinners and you have the luxury of space then this set is for you. You can tell by the listing price we are more interested in the karma than the $$ and really want them to find a good home to continue the tradition of gatherings. They are incredibly sturdy and have a long life ahead so definitely reupholstering-worthy if you aren’t in your red period.
