Ficks Reed 1950s Asian Modern Rattan Coffee Table
Product details
Seller's Notes:This unique bamboo and rattan pagoda style coffee table was designed by John Wisner for Ficks Reed, circa 1950s. John Wisner graduated from Parsons School Of Design in 1935 and designed for both private clients, and corporate clients including Dorothy Draper and Ficks Reed, where he was noted for his ‘Far Horizons’ collection of 1954 which incorporated eastern elements. This classic piece of eastern influenced modern American design boasts beautifully sculpted bamboo and rattan with wrapped binder cane joints. The honey colored parquet style woven raffia tray bottoms have an almost iridescent sheen that adds a touch of glam to the exotic look. This piece is suited for use indoors, on covered patios, porches, or sunrooms. We do not recommend leaving this piece out in the elements. Complete your seating arrangement with our John Wisner tile-top Ficks Reed side table, and armchair (sold separately). We have several more pieces from Ficks Reed including sofas, sectionals, end tables, and lounge chairs (sold separately).
