Both the seat and back are tight, which means you'll enjoy a soft layer of foam atop a layer of springs that offer a gentle give. It also means you won't have to rotate or fluff loose cushions. Bought this couch as my first grown up purchase 4 years ago. Recently moved and the couch could be angled properly through my narrow hallway. So have give up the couch. It’s in great condition and so so comfy.
