Product details
Seller's Notes: This fine chest of drawers is part of a 7 piece rosewood bedroom set designed by John Stuart that was purchased by my mother-in-law in NYC in the early 1940’s for $2000, which was a considerable amount of money at that time. It is constructed of heavy solid wood, a sharp contrast to today’s workmanship. It is quite majestic looking with its glossy finish and brass hardware, leaf designed handles, and sculpted leaf life columns on the sides. It has a metal John Stuart label on the inside drawer. It has some scratches and a small crack on upper part of chest. The mothball odor inside drawers should dissipate once aired out. I consider it to be in satisfactory to good condition. I have also listed separately 2 matching dressers and 2 night tables.
