Seller's Notes:Eastern styles are very colorful. Like all ethnic movements, they are directly linked to national traditions. Eastern styles are characterized by simple lines and clear forms, but they are less ascetic than, for example, minimalism. Only natural materials are used in the interior, both for furniture and decor. The furniture is low and squat: often, instead of a bed, you'll see a podium or futon, and instead of storage, floor-standing chests and boxes. Wide doorways, contrasting color combinations, partitions, mats, curtains, and screens made of bamboo, jute, and sisal are featured. The light is dim and matted, coming from low-hanging lamps and small floor lamps.

Chinese style is more decorative: various figurines, lanterns, and calligraphic inscriptions.
