Seller's Notes:A stunning 19th-century credenza (roughly circa 1820–1840 from Central Europe, apparently it's in the Biedermeier style according to Google). Architectural crown molding, bold geometric lines, and heavy block feet. Book-matched burl walnut veneers with a highly decorative "flame" grain. The doors are detailed with large, inlaid diamond marquetry and central starburst rosette medallions. If you look at the back you can see the hand-planed old-growth pine planks with hand-cut fasteners which is how we dated it. NOTE: It has been adapted as a media console with a cutout in the back in order to feed in cords for printers and wifi (see photos) but that makes it highly functional. Structurally rock-solid but there are some stains, mug rings, chips etc. which is why it's priced as it is.
