Produced by Johnson Furniture Company of Grand Rapids and retailed through John Stuart, Inc., the design is entirely consistent with Frankl’s documented work from the 1950s, with an original Mahogany Association certification on the underside confirming genuine mahogany construction. The base is what makes this table memorable: paired vertical posts sweeping down to dramatic curved arching feet in deep ebonized mahogany, creating a sculptural, architectural form that is simply not found in ordinary mid-century furniture.
