I believe this is walnut, with burl panels , and is part of a complete MCM bedroom set, which includes the headboard (and metal bed frame), two night tables, a lowboy dresser, and an absolutely awesome highboy dresser. It belonged to my parents, who were ancient art dealers in New York City. They treated their furnishings like works of art, so everything is in excellent condition. This piece provides amazing storage. Insides of drawers are perfectly clean. One of the nightstands does have some stains inside, but absolutely no odor or anything objectionable, just slightly darker marks. One nightstand had some wood chipping above one leg, as pictured. This can be stained and would then be hardly noticeable. I’d call this piece satisfactory (app won’t let me separate the two.) I will post pictures tomorrow. Most drawers were lined, with non-stick paper, so very clean. Please see separate listings for other pieces. Discount for purchase of full set. Retail price is estimated to allow for inflation.
