Midcentury School Gym Bench
Product details
Seller's Notes:Reclaimed from upstate New York, this bench was made by the Brewer-Titchener Corporation, a manufacturing house incorporated in 1918 just south of Syracuse. While the date is hard to specify, it has the hallmarks of benches made in the '60s and '70s. Appropriate for its age and many lives, the top of the bench has a rustic patina. The underside is in impeccable condition, with beautiful grain and the manufacturer's mark, and evinces what could be possible with a competent restoration. The hardware has been maintained and its folding and leg-locking are in perfect working order. In the photos you'll see two angles as the bench, a close up to the age on the top, and a picture of the bottom that includes the manufacturer's info.
