Product details
Seller's Notes:These were originally Banquet Oil Lamps. The heavy, circular iron plate used to weight the base is a classic Victorian design feature. • Design Details: The brass collar with the intricate "lattice" work is where the air would have flowed into the burner. The key-shaped knob on the side (now just decorative or a switch) would have originally raised and lowered the wick. • The Porcelain: These are almost certainly Dresden or Royal Bonn style porcelain. The hand-painted flowers and the "raised paste" gold detailing (where the gold feels slightly bumpy) are indicative of late 19th-century German craftsmanship. Dimensions -height to top of shade 271/2 inches -diameter of shade 13 inches - diameter of lamp 7 inches
