Seller's Notes:Reclaimed-pine table bears the construction and design hallmarks of the early 20th century, when fine craftsmanship and simple forms were sought and prized. Tabletop wrapped with food-safe, zinc-finished sheet steel that's been pieced and welded Base handcrafted of reclaimed pine that has been carefully hand-selected, planed and sanded Multistep finishing process darkens the top, lending it the appealing look of age Metal top secured by prominent rivets along the edge Zinc-finished top protected by an enduring clear coat Tripod trestle braced by 3 arching brackets at both top and bottom Supports connected by a transverse plank stretcher Slightly elevated feet raise support a bit above the floor. Hand built from French pine with mortise-and-tenon joinery. Rough-hewn planks are carefully hand-selected, planed and sanded. Thick plank frame top is inset with square bluestone panels. Inherent variations in the color and shading of the bluestone lend unique character to each table; no two will be exactly alike. This item is artisan crafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand finished nature, variations in the wood are to be expected and celebrated. As a disclaimer this is a new piece that was originally purchased for a new hotel project that fell through. It has never been used. There are 3 slabs that sit on top of the table instead of it being one big piece that goes across the table top. Please refer to listing photos for a better idea. Also the table base is also heavy. With the slabs and base it weighs a couple hundred pounds overall.
