Unsealed salvaged solid pine includes distinctive nicks, splits, cracks, knots, nail holes and imperfections that speak to the wood’s age and provenance. RH’s salvaged wood baluster tables designed by Timothy Oulton are handcrafted of solid salvaged pine timbers from 100-year-old buildings in Great Britain. Distressed as only age and the elements can impart, the rough-hewn planks are carefully hand-selected, planed, and lightly sanded yet otherwise left untouched. Each table is a celebration of authenticity and uniquely one of a kind. This item is artisan-crafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations and imperfections in the wood are to be expected and celebrated. Each salvaged item is original and no two are exactly alike This coffee table served me well for 7+ years in a smoke-free home. To preserve the table, I put a custom cut piece of glass (included in sale and depicted in the pictures) on the table allowing the beautiful wood to show while protecting it. My reason for selling is I am downsizing and moving. The table reflects RH’s distinctive description of unsealed salvaged pine. Condition is consistent with age and being gently used. The table makes a statement.
