It's Italian Brompton leather, which has a glossy finish. Over time, it's developed a lighter patina, a soft hand, and an antiqued, broken-in appearance. It's also the luxe depth and is big enough to function as a comfortable guest bed if needed.
We've had and loved it for several years now, but it's a large piece and not going to fit in our new apartment.
