Seller's Notes:This is a Classic French Provincial/Louis XV style sofa with a hand-carved solid wood frame and elegant cabriole legs. The frame has been professionally restored: re-doweled and re-webbed for maximum structural integrity. The wood frame has been professionally refinished. It is in excellent condition. The sofa is extremely sturdy, sit-ready, and comfortable. Upholstery Note: The sofa was reupholstered in a neutral patterned fabric from Harry Zarin in NYC. The horse hair cushions were replaced with premium down. The upholstery is intact but would benefit from a professional cleaning or provide the perfect “blank canvas” for a custom reupholstery. Backstory: I purchased the sofa from an antique store. Although the frame and upholstery were in disrepair, I was taken by its elegant frame—hence my efforts to professional restore and reupholster the sofa. I am moving and do not have room for it in my new location.
