Seller's Notes:The Roche Bobois sofa Mah Jong has been one of the most famous and sought after sectional sofa of this century. Here is your chance to own one of the original design exactly like the designer imagined it on its first edition in 1978. The designer, artist and painter Hans Hopfer decided to pivot and adjust his product line to focus on a family-friendly product that could still be considered a work of art. In 1971 the ‘Mah Jong’ was born. Initially, the product was named the ‘Forever Sofa’ but was later renamed to the ‘Mah Jong’ as it imitates the Chinese tile game in which players compete to form various configurations. This special original edition comes in 16 pieces of buttery soft white leather with unlimited possible combinations. It is a family heirloom that was barely used as it was part of a formal room in my grand mother estate in France. We had it shipped here to find out we will never have the space for it in the house that we bought.
