Seller's Notes:I purchased this lovely dining room set back in 2007 at a furniture store back when furniture was real and came assembled lol. It is made of a heavy metal - iron I believe - that has a matte dark grey finished and twisted iron details. The chairs are upholstered with a tan/cream tweed-like fabric that has stood the test of time. The dining table top is clear glass with scalloped edges. I love this set, but my husband and I are divorcing and sadly it is too heavy and large for my new living arrangements. Even though we have had it for a long time, it has barely been used as it turns out we are both eat-dinner-on-the-couch types. It's been used mostly in the event that we have company for dinner which has been seldom. There are some minor scratches on the glass from our last move, but you can barely see them. We have always used placemats on the table and with placemats you definitely can't see any of the scratches. Otherwise the metal and rest of the set is in perfect condition. We did not allow the cat on the chairs, but just in full transparency, we did own a cat and she may have snucked on to the chairs here and there. The set is very heavy and I recommend no less than 2 people to move it. Because it's real furniture it doesn't come apart. Except the glass top is not attached to the base (it's held in place by the weight of the glass itself) so that part can be moved separately but the table base and chairs are all solid pieces. I recommend a blanket and /or other padding for wrapping the glass top for safe transport.
