Seller's Notes:Original Francis Bacon 1980 Exhibition Poster, hand signed by the artist in marker. Offset lithograph in full colour on heavy wove paper. 101.6 x 66.0 cm / 40 x 26 in. The item is in superb condition--as if preserved in a time capsule. A truly exquisite find. Strong impression with vivid colours. No fading, creasing, warping, stains or blemishes, both front and back. Never been framed or displayed before. It is only seeing light for the first time after 40 years or archival storage. A very faint halo of yellow patina can be detected along the very edges of the sheet--a testament to the age and authenticity of the article. Francis Bacon (1909-1992) was not known to be a prolific signer. This extremely rare item is sure make for a great conversational piece as well as an excellent investment piece.
