Seller's Notes:Rare Smith & Watson New York Carpathian Elm Burl Dining Table, Model B-78 "T" Square, 1976, with Three Leaves and Original Documentation Exceptional Dining Table in highly figured Carpathian Elm Burl with bronze inlay. Documented in the firm's 1976 catalog as Model B-78 and accompanied by the original Smith & Watson price letter. Measures 78" x 44" then expands with three 22" leaves to 12 feet in length. The dramatic burl veneer and architectural form exemplify the luxury custom furniture produced by Smith & Watson during the 1970s. An uncommon opportunity to acquire a documented example from one of New York's premier furniture makers. Leaves are in the original velvet covers. If purchased new today this table would be over $10,000.
