Seller's Notes:I originally acquired this stunning piece from an interior designer in an apartment loft, and it has been the absolute anchor of my living space for years. I loved it so much that I even brought it with me from Chicago to California. I am truly heartbroken to part with it, but an upcoming relocation to Washington D.C. means I simply cannot take it along. It has always lived in a strictly pet-free and smoke-free home and has been treated with the utmost care. I am hoping it finds a new owner who appreciates high-end Italian design as much as I have! The Design: This is the authentic "Sliding" Sofa Bed manufactured by Tacchini and designed by Pietro Arosio. Made in Italy, it is a brilliant architectural piece that seamlessly transforms from a sophisticated, contemporary sofa into a comfortable double bed. Instead of dealing with a clunky, traditional pull-out sleeper, the backrest simply drops down via a patented hidden mechanism. It also features a sleek die-cast aluminum base with built-in rear wheels, making it incredibly easy to roll and reposition around the room. Condition: Good vintage/used condition. The folding mechanism works perfectly and smoothly. Please note there is some distortion on the foam of one corner, but the piece remains extremely comfortable for both sitting and sleeping. It features a beautiful beige/oatmeal textured upholstery. Bonus: The entire fabric cover is fully removable, making it exceptionally easy to professionally dry clean or replace if you ever want to change the color.
