Seller's Notes:This is a beautiful antique brass bed frame made by the Whitcomb Metallic Bedstead Company in Shelton, CT circa 1900. The bed is top quality and consists of headboard, footboard, side rails with mortise and tenon horseshoe joints, and spring platform to hold mattress with or without boxspring. Rails are easily taken apart and put together. It is approximately 55" x 74" and fits a full size mattress. Headboard is 54.5"W x 74"H, footboard is 55.5"W x 41.5"H, and spring platform is 54.5"W x 74"L. There is slight discoloration of the brass and minor scratches which are normal for its age. This is a true antique brass bed which would be perfect for a collector, Bed & Breakfast, or farmhouse-themed bedroom renovation. Originally listed for $1,200, reduced twice and priced to sell. Price is firm and final.
