Seller's Notes:By Louis Tauzin, 1897 Custom FRAMED Art Print Print purchased in the 1990s Materials: ink, offset lithograph, quality paper "Produits de Kolais" translates to "products of Kola" or "Kola products" in English. This likely refers to products made from or containing Kola nuts, a seed from the Kola tree found in West and Central Africa. These products were often used for their stimulant properties and are found in various forms, including drinks, chewing items, and even some medicines. Louis Tauzin was a French landscape painter, poster artist, and chromolithographer. In the 45 years from 1867 to 1912, he presented 65 works at 37 of the annual Paris Salons. From 1891 he also exhibited regularly at the salon of Toulouse. Along with painting, Tauzin had a highly successful career as a commercial artist, eventually becoming chef d'atelier (head of studio) at Champenois, one of the most prominent chromolithography houses in Paris. He produced many posters in lithographic format for railway companies, vacation destinations, various major brands. Condition: excellent.
