Seller's Notes: This is a timeless wood and woven cane chair, designed by the New York architect and designer Ward Bennett, in collaboration with Brickel Associates. Bennett’s pieces are iconic examples of the important mid-century modern era of American design, and their clean, classic forms resound in today’s marketplace (for example, in 2004 they were reintroduced by Geiger for Design Within Reach). Bennett’s work can be found in the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum. Slightly later mid-century model with reinforced seat and maker's mark. All chairs have applied red Ward Bennett label. Some chairs have stapled paper tag. Discount offered for buying two or more chairs.
