High-gauge sinuous spring and webbed cushion support. Cushions have fiber-wrapped, high-resiliency polyurethane foam cores. Seat firmness: Medium. On a scale from 1 to 5 (5 being firmest), we rate it a 3. Chaise lifts up via gas-lift mechanism to reveal storage space. Trundle pulls out from sofa and lifts up via elastic strap to create a Queen-sized sleeping area. To avoid damaging the frame, do not fold the cushion into the sofa with sheets or blankets on it. Reversible cushions with zip-off covers (chaise seat cushion is not reversible). Chaise seat cushion features a top seam. This contract-grade item is manufactured to meet the demands of commercial use in addition to residential.
