Seller's Notes: From Seller: Purchased this swivel armchair brand new from West Elm three (3) years ago. Cushion is very comfy and the swivel is very smooth and 360 degrees without stutter nor interruption. The distressed velvet fabric in light taupe still looks nearly new (see photos). I would take this chair with me to my next apartment but am downsizing / redecorating. The acorn/maple colored wood backing blends well with other mid-century modern pieces. The chair is very sturdy and weighs close to 100 lbs, meaning it does not tip over when swiveling. ***** Important Note: photos with white background are taken from West Elm's website. Photos of chair in living space are photos of actual chair and condition. ***** There is some visible wear and tear on the solid wood backing that wraps around the chair, showing scratches from where the chair has swiveled against other items (e.g., wall, other furniture) in the past. Many of this has been touched up with wood pen (to which some blemishes can be seen when inspecting the piece up close but are not noticeable from 3 feet or more away). I've done my best to capture this in photos. The piece has been a stalwart accent and accompany chair to the taupe modern sofa I have had in my mid century modern layout. It shall find a new owner.
