Our child slept happily and peacefully in this crib and later, toddler bed, and we know from experience that this will be the only crib/bed you’ll need for your child for years. Its clean, modern lines elevates the aesthetic of any nursery. More importantly, the excellent craftsmanship of this West Elm x Pottery Barn Kids collab will give you peace of mind of knowing your baby, and one day, your 3, 4 or 5 year-old, is getting a sound, safe, non-toxic night’s sleep. This best-selling special edition crib is a collaboration between West Elm and Pottery Barn Kids and is equivalent or even better made than the higher end / specialty designer crib we had for our older child. Note that this crib is also special in that it was made in a Fair Trade Certified™ facility from SOLID poplar and ash wood (and not MDF) that's kiln-dried, a process that ensures that the furniture will never split, warp, crack or mildew. Finish was applied in a multi-step process using child-safe, water-based paint that provides durability, richness and depth of color. Featuring two platform height options, this crib grows with your baby and can be converted into a cozy toddler bed with the matching conversion kit. The equivalent set-up (which isn’t available in white) would cost you $1000 plus tax and delivery fees, and you’d have to buy a mattress. Our crib comes from a clean, pet-free, smoke-free home. Well-cared for, it’s in great condition with very few imperfections—some minor impressions in the rail and a few very small chips in the toddler rail that can easily be touched up (see photo). Our child was always a great sleeper— we like to think this crib played a part and hope it brings you peaceful nights and happy memories.

HOW IT IS CONSTRUCTED Modern Convertible Crib Expertly crafted of solid poplar and ash wood. Mattress platform is crafted of metal and has two height options to accommodate your growing baby. Platform can be adjusted to the following heights: 17.25", 9.75" All wood is kiln-dried, a process that ensures that the furniture will never split, warp, crack or mildew. Finish is applied in multi-step process using child-safe, water-based paint. The paint provides durability, richness and depth of colour to each piece.
