18th Century Engraving La Gaiet Conjugale
Product details
Seller's Notes:This monochrome etching and engraving entitled "La gaieté conjugale" ("Marital happiness") was created by Nicolas Delaunay (artist, French, 1739 - 1792) after Sigmund Freudenberger (artist after, Swiss, 1745 - 1801) in 1783. While the engraving itself is of the era, the frame is from the early/mid-20th century, and has some minor scratching on the corners. There is also a listing for "La félicité villageoise" (1784) by the same artists. The engravings can be purchased individually as listed (for $799 each), or as a pair for $1,500. Please get in touch if you're interested in purchasing the pair.
