Seller's Notes:Iron swing mount and oval Bentwood framed mirror, swivels and tips. The iron-moulded mount says "patented March 31, 1868". Total dimensions 21 inches tall x 22 inches wide, the oval mirror size is 16 inches tall x 10 inches wide. Family heirloom. Some history I found online: The mirror design was patented in 1868 by Samuel Scottron, a prominent African American inventor from Brooklyn, New York. He began his career as a barber and was granted four U.S. patents for the mirror.
