Seller's Notes:A well-matched pair of flat bar chrome cantilever armchairs in the manner of Mies van der Rohe's Brno chair — one of the most iconic and actively collected chair designs of the 20th century. The flat bar chrome frames present the characteristic cantilever sweep and floating back pad of the Brno design in polished mirror chrome. Both chairs are structurally sound. Original blue cross-pattern upholstery in deep navy. No maker's markings observed. The flat bar Brno variant is the more architecturally austere of the two Mies designs — pure flat chrome geometry with the cantilever arc providing the only curve. The chrome presents with appropriate vintage patina. The back and seat pads are in original upholstery; reupholstery in leather would be a natural and rewarding update. The pair is well-matched in chrome tone and frame construction. Works as dining chairs, desk chairs, conference chairs, or accent chairs. Sold as a pair.
