Seller's Notes:Bought around 1960 from a furniture store in Bermuda. One owner, excellent condition. Teak Table and 4 chairs.Table is round with legs that fold and top drops on both sides. Matching Sideboard, roll back door, lots of storage with 5 drawers. Beautiful craftsmanship and very well taken care of.
Renowned for the simplicity and craftsmanship of their designs, Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) met Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993) at Kunsthåndværkerskolens Snedkerskole, where he began first as his student and later taught alongside him. The two formed an instant, close friendship, moving on to experience their first success as a design duo after entering and winning the 1943 Swedish Slöjdföreningen's competition.
